Once out there we stop for the included lunch, take an adventure hike through an old farmstead, check out the historic brownstone quarry, or view the famous "Honeymoon Rock" formation then paddle back.

Once there we stop for the included lunch, take a peak at the historic brownstone lighthouse, paddle through the island's wonderful section of sea caves then back to Little Sand Bay. Also, includes shuttle service to/from LSB to Bayfield.

Bay of Treasures- Full Day Adventure
Experience the quiet magic of a backwater estuary. Explore channels of the Bark Bay Slough area until you reach the open water of Lake Superior where a small sea cave awaits. This area is teaming with interesting plants, shorebirds, and wildlife. You may witness turtles, beaver, otters, osprey, eagles, and more in this naturally protected environment. A wonderfully sheltered spot to enjoy nature and enjoy kayaking even when the big Lake is too windy or wavy.

Cliffs and Wreck- 1/2 Day Adventure
This 3 Hour tour will take you back in time as we launch right from our beach & head south of Bayfield past the marina- waving to those on the dock or the ferry. You will paddle over and around a shipwreck providing an interesting photo opportunity. We continue down the shoreline to check out the beautiful red sandstone cliffs and listen to the guides tell stories, history, and geology about this area. Then turn around and head back. A great introduction into kayaking.

We have limited seats and our trips generally fill. Once you book your seats they are secure and not available to other willing customers. Our cancellation policy is strict. An excellent option for those wishing to tour 1/2 the section of these natural wonders due to a limited time schedule or fitness level. Participants need to pick up personal fit wetsuit and PFD at our Bayfield shop at least 1hr. before departure. Participants provide their own transportation to the Meyers Beach launch site. The guide will meet you there with kayak equip. to begin tour.

Basic Safety Course
Passing This Course Qualifies You For Unguided Rentals, 1/2 Day (3hr.)
This intensive, beginner course presents essential information, instruction, and experience that will help you manage your risk in a sea kayak. Content includes: weather, hypothermia, local hazards, equipment, basic strokes, wet exists, and rescues.

Confidence Course - 2 Day Extensive Safety Course
This course is an in depth study of the information presented in the Basic Safety Course with concentration on skills training and building your confidence. We've included curriculum necessary for participants who want to seek out sea kayaking certifications with the B.C.U or A.C.A.

Paddlers Expedition - 3 Day Challenge Course
A natural follow-up to the Confidence Course, this course is designed to prepare paddlers to join expeditions & extended trips, and to access more challenging terrain. It includes a rolling session in the pool, advanced strokes, navigation, rescue work, trip planning, equipment selection, and an aggressive paddle to an island for an overnight using these skills. Course includes: instructor, equip. & overnight provisions.

Private Lessons- One on one skills instruction from one of our guides.
$35/hour (not including equipment) We can work on whatever kayak skills you want. If there are special skills, let us know ahead so we can find the right instructor for you. This is the way we normally teach eskimo rolling, as one to one is best.
* All overnights include meals,snacks & beverages, guide, kayak equipment, PFD's and safety gear, wetsuits, camping permits, cooking gear, water filtration, van shuttles to or from land put-ins /take-outs, and outfitting with tents and sleeping pads.

Introduction To Kayak Camping, 2 days
A perfect introduction to sea kayak touring & camping or those with only the weekend to get away.
Depending on NPS permit, We may explore the Sea Caves and lighthouse on Sand Island, or the Brownstone quarry & "Honeymoon Rock" on Basswood Island. All will get the chance to go hiking on pristine beaches or along forest trails among the abundant wildlife. Relax by the campfire, have a smore, and enjoy spending the evening on a remote island.
This trip is well within the ability of beginners and young families.

Paddle Through Time
Our most popular overnight adventure, 3 days
You become part of Lake Superior's richness as we paddle out for two nights of camping each night on a different island. Depending on NPS permits, we may explore rugged shorelines/ sea caves, lighthouses or shipwrecks. Then when at camp, hike wilderness trails to discover what each island has to offer, relax on the beach, or sit by the fire. A great introduction to the cultural, geological, and natural history of the area. This trip generally covers about 25-30 miles of paddling over the 3 days. Ideal for beginner to intermediate paddlers with moderate physical condition.
Departs Friday morning and Return Sunday late afternoon. $395 pp
Island Base Camp
A Family and Exploritory Adventure, 4 days
By using an established base camp we eliminate the ritual setting up, taking down, and packing of overnight camping gear. This provides us with more time and energy to explore or pop over to nearby islands to view their highlights. During this four day/3 night trip there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, learning about Ojibwa history, work on kayaking skills, go fishing, or any other fun relaxing things you would like to do. Not daily carrying the extra gear weight makes this trip great for young families too.

Wild Island Escape
An Intermediate Level Outer Island Loop, 5 days
If you're looking for more remote wilderness, bigger water, and have a moderate amount of kayaking experience, this trip is for you. You may enjoy Michigan Island's old growth forests and historical lighthouses as well as Outer Island's secluded beaches, lagoons, and expansive hiking trails. These islands are less visited and more wild creating a truly singular experience.

Circumnavigate the Apostle Islands while stopping at all the best spots: The most expansive section of sea caves at Devils Island, the sand spit & lagoon on Outer Island, The lighthouse on Michigan Island, the fish camp on Manitou Island, the quarries on Hermit Island, and the "singing sands" beaches of Stockton Island to name a few. This trip really hits all the highlights this area has to offer but is a lot of paddling so moderately good physical condition is required.
